Marian’s Edison Mitchell and Northwestern’s Austin Bittenbender both scored four goals on Saturday to lead their team’s to soccer wins.
The Pleasant Valley boys also posted a victory to push their winning streak to five.

Marian rattled off 10 first-half goals and cruised to a 12-1 Schuylkill League win over Weatherly.
The Colts’ Edison Mitchell registered four goals and then played goalie, making 11 saves.
Chase Haubner collected two goals and an assist for Marian, while Isa Gjoca also finished with a pair of goals.
The Wreckers’ lone goal came from Corbin Wagner.

Pleasant Valley pushed its winning streak to five as the Bears pulled away for a 4-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over visiting Pocono Mountain West.
Royce Thompson, Richon Russ, Andrew Espitia and Jasper Porter all posted scores for PV, while Max Moscicki and Adam Sopanski both had assists.
On Wednesday, PV will host Northampton in another EPC showdown.

Austin Bittenbender recorded four goals, and Logan Mesics added three to lead Northwestern to its 10th straight win, a 13-0 Colonial League shutout over Lehighton.
The Tigers notched nine goals in the opening half and had 45 shots overall. The Tigers haven’t lost since suffering a 4-3 defeat to Pennsbury in their season opener on Aug. 22.

Juan Moreno’s goal in the second overtime lifted Pottsville to a 3-2 Schuylkill League win over visiting Tamaqua.
Lusvin Lumas got the Blue Raiders on the board in the first half off a set-up from Jayden Hosler. Chase Behr later gave Tamaqua a 2-1 lead in the second half off an assist from Luis Tejada Garcia.
The Tides’ Moreno was the difference maker, though, as he tied the game and then scored the game-winner.

Schuylkill Haven Invite
Jim Thorpe, Marian and Tamaqua all took part in the Schuylkill Haven Invite.
North Schuylkill’s Genevieve Dando won the girls’ race in a time of 20:36. Nativity’s Shane Meyer was first among the boys, crossing the finish line in 17:50.
Tamaqua’s Shaylee Gormley took second among a field of 52 harriers. Gormley posted a time of 21:35.
The Raiders’ Ava Jones and Mollie Walker each posted top-10 finishes, with Jones placing seventh and Walker ending in 10th.
Jim Thorpe’s Kayleigh Halenar recorded a third-place finish in a time of 22:47, while Marian’s Teghan Biros took sixth (23:16), and Anna Keer crossed in ninth place.
On the boys’ side, which featured 51 runners, Tamaqua’s Parker Steencken was fourth after crossed the finish line in 18:16. The Raiders’ Memphis Kline also grabbed a top-10 finish, placing eighth.
The Colts’ Achille Fitzpatrick was his team’s top runner, ending 12th, while the Olympians’ Gabe Wirth followed in 13th.

PM West-Lehighton
Lehighton won the opening game, but then dropped three straight in falling to Pocono Mountain West in non-league action.
Laney Kershner had nine kills for the Indians, while Sophia Serfass finished with eight and Allison Solt chipped in with six.
Lehighton also received 20 assists and 19 digs from Autumn Clewell, along with 21 digs from Aleaa Yeakel.
