Pleasant Valley downed Stroudsburg in volleyball action Friday, while Northwestern’s field hockey team blanked Lehighton.

After dropping the first set, Pleasant Valley roared back to defeat Stroudsburg in EPC action.

Rylee Ruggiero led the Bears with 18 kills and 13 digs, while Mya Williams added 16 assists and 14 digs. PV also received 15 assists from Lira Hnat.

Northwestern received goals from six different players to help gain a 9-0 Colonial League victory over Lehighton.

Taylor Langley had two goals and an assist for the Tigers, while McKenna Church and Nora Peterson both finished with a pair of goals.

The winners also received a goal and an assist from Hannah Gober. Evelyn Alboucq chipped in with two assists.

Gracie Huffer and Rylie Povilaitis both finished with a hat trick and two assists as Emmaus rolled to a 13-0 EPC victory over Pleasant Valley.
