Former Palmerton Area High School field hockey standout Celeste Hoffman is off to an exceptional start to the 2025 season for the Misericordia University field hockey team.

The sophomore forward is the team’s leading scorer with four goals, including the game-winner in the Cougars’ 1-0 win over William Paterson on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

She has helped lead them to a 4-1 start, scoring single goals in each of her team’s wins.

Hoffman tallied seven points on three goals and one assist in 18 games during her 2024 freshman campaign.

Misericordia’s next game will be at Muhlenberg on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
