Mahoning Township supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• Awarded a bid for the roof at the township municipal building to Vertex in the amount of $60,300.

• Awarded a bid for the dehumidification system to Leibold in the amount of $39,900.

• Approved an ordinance amending the volunteer service credit.

• On a 3-1 vote, with one abstention, approved a resolution establishing the real property tax credit at 50 percent an active volunteer is eligible to receive pursuant to the Mahoning Township Volunteer Service Credit Program. Supervisor Deb McGowan was opposed. Supervisor Myron “Zeke” Blahy abstained.

• Approved a resolution setting the police pension plan contribution requirement for the 2026 Minimum Municipal Obligation in the amount of $138,846.

• Approved a resolution setting the nonuniform pension plan contribution requirement for the 2026 Minimum Municipal Obligation in the amount of $47,602.

• Agreed to have Mahoning Township participate in the sixth annual Operation Give a Gobbler from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 19 at Giant.
