State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Lemalier Cancel Medina, 21, of Coaldale, was cited for harassment after police were called to East High Street, Coaldale, at 6:02 p.m. Sept. 2.

Police said the victim is a 38-year-old man from Coaldale.

• A corruption of minors incident involving a 14-year-old girl from Lansford is under investigation.

Police said they were called at 9 p.m. Aug. 26 to a property on West High Street, Coaldale, where a suspect provided drugs to the girl and attempted to have inappropriate contact with her.

• An indecent assault incident involving a 12-year-old girl from West Hazleton is under investigation.

Police said they were called at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 to the area of Mining and Old 209 roads, Schuylkill Township, to investigate the incident. They said a 2023 Honda Accord is involved.

• Police said a girl left her residence on Second Street in Coaldale after an argument at 6:18 p.m. Aug. 31, resulting in police called to “attempt to locate” her.

At 7:50 p.m. the same night, police were notified the girl was with a friend. She was subsequently reunited with her family.

• Police were called to a runaway report at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at 272 Sixth St., Coaldale.

They said Andi Jean Girard, 17, was reported missing from her residence and was last seen traveling south on Sixth Street towards Lehigh Street.

She is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall with blond hair and was wearing a black sweatshirt and had a gray backpack. Police said it is believed she has connections in Tamaqua, Lansford and Summit Hill. They request anyone having information about her whereabouts to call them at 570-874-5300.

• Police were called to an incident of harassment at 4:07 p.m. Sept. 4 on Golf Road, Rush Township.

No other information on the incident was provided.

• A 27-year-old man from Frackville is the victim of an indecent assault incident police were called to at 7:23 p.m. Aug. 2 to the State Correctional Institute at Frackville, Altamont Avenue, Ryan Township.

The investigation is being conducted in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act, police said.

• Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Frackville on charges of simple harassment after they were called to the State Correctional Institute at Frackville, Altamont Avenue, Ryan Township, at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 3.

Police said a 37-year-old woman from Frackville who is a prison staff member was struck in the head by the suspect, an inmate, with a makeshift blunt weapon.

The woman was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

• Mark Shaker, 64, of Delano, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a physical altercation at 5:46 Sept. 6 at Birch and Balsam streets, Delano Township.

Police said a 65-year-old man from Mahanoy City reported he was subjected to unwanted physical contact by Shaker.

• A 28-year-old Schuylkill Haven man is the victim of a harassment by physical contact incident police were called to at 4:17 p.m. Sept. 6 at the intersection of Township Highway 751 and Water Street in Blythe Township.

Police arrested Jodi McGovern, 53, and Todd Zimmerman, 54, both of Port Carbon, on harassment charges as a result of the incident.

They said the 28-year-old alleged he was struck by his aunt and had his phone smashed by his uncle, who were both also charged with criminal mischief.

• Police are investigating the theft of $12,000 worth of equipment from a site on Connerton Road, West Mahanoy Township.

It was reported at 12:47 a.m. Sept. 2 by a representative of the victim, Keystone Anthracite, Girardville, who said a Miller XMT 350 welder worth $9,000 and a Miller Suitcase X-Treme valued at $3,000 were stolen in the incident.
