Entertainment around the area
Country singer-songwriter Maggie Baugh ranks among the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional entertainment over the next couple of weeks.
Baugh, who at age 13 played fiddle on “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” with The Charlie Daniels Band in 2014, performs at Mauch Chunk Opera House. She will release a new album later this year.
Among other highlights, rock bands Papa Roach and Rise Against will each celebrate 25th anniversaries when they perform at the PPL Center. Papa Roach’s major-label debut album “Infest” arrived in 2000, shortly after Rise Against formed. The latter released its latest album in late August.
The Wind Creek Event Center, meanwhile, hosts the likes of musicians Maren Morris, Elvis Costello and ZZ Top, plus comedian/actor John Mulaney.
