A portion of roadway along Route 145 in Lehigh Township is shut down today from 9 a.m. to noon so police can do a crash reconstruction.

The Diamond Fire Company of Walnutport posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that Lehigh Township has advised them that Riverview Drive (Route 145) between Mulberry Drive and Blue Mountain Drive would be shut down during that time frame.

The crash reconstruction is due to the serious crash that occurred on Sunday on Riverview Drive in the area of Willow Road.

Smaller vehicle traffic traveling south will be detoured up Mulberry Drive, while traffic traveling north with be detoured up Blue Mountain Drive.

Since Mulberry Drive is narrow, with sharp, tight turns, all larger truck traffic, including large box trucks, dump trucks, and trucks that have attached trailers, will be detoured at the Route 145 and Main Street traffic light in the Borough of Walnutport.

Vehicles will be directed to turn onto Main Street/West Mountain View Drive, and then turn right onto Lehigh Drive Route 248, unless the truck has a delivery to be made between Main Street and Mulberry Drive.
