September 10, 1999 — Northwestern’s Jarrett Seng opens the game with an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and the Tiger defense takes over after that to lead Bob Mitchell’s team to a 17-0 Colonial League victory over Wilson. Following’s Seng’s return, Northwestern’s Derek Bailey recovers a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and Seng delivers more points moments later with a 21-yard field goal. Tiger quarterback Jeff Billig rushes for 100 yards on 11 attempts, including a 74-yard burst that sets up a Seng 6-yard TD in the second period. The defense allows just 55 yards and forces three turnovers.
