The planning committee of St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church of Coaldale announced plans to celebrate the 80th year of its founding with a hierarchal divine liturgy.

His Grace Bishop Herman will lead the procession and offer the traditional greeting with bread by John Lorchak, president of the church council, and the Very Rev. Paul Borick, pastor.

During the Divine Liturgy, the consecration of a new altar will take place.

The committee includes Father Borick, honorary chairman; Russell King, chairman; Helen Philapovich, secretary; Helen King, treasurer; Helen Sheers and Anna Slanta, ticket chairpersons; Irene Borick, program book; and Olga and Benjamin Macalush, Marie McMullen and Henry Wushosky.
