Northwestern graduate and last season’s Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Player of the Year, Eli Zimmerman, made his debut for Bloomsburg University and scored a touchdown during the Huskies’ 41-40 overtime loss to Fairmont State.

Zimmerman, a freshman, carried the ball 11 times for 34. His longest run was a 14-yard gain, while his touchdown came in the second quarter on a 2-yard run with 4:53 left until halftime that gave Bloomsburg a 19-17 lead.

The Huskies return to action next Saturday when they travel to Seton Hill.
