The Pleasant Valley School Board approved personnel changes:

• Change to current assignment — Christina Deutsch, from supervisor of special education to director of special education, $123,000, replaced Julie Harris (change of assignment); Alicia Granville-Fernandez, from food service employee at PVES to PVIS; Taylor Lenahan, from paraprofessional at PVES to PVMS; Randy Smith, custodian, PVIS, change in hours, replaced Donna Lamb (change of assignment).

• Hiring of support staff — Michelle Sciabica, monitor, PVES, $12.11 per hour, replaced Kristina Singer (resigned); Dayna Bronson, administrative secretary–technology, PVHS, $36,227 (prorated), begins Sept. 29, replaced Lisa Maderic (resigned); and Brielle Colonese, paraprofessional, PVIS, $27,586 (prorated), replaced Lyn Owermohle (retired).

• Homebound instructor, supplemental — Jamile Ferrara, homebound instructor for 2025-26 school year, $30 per hour.

• Intramural advisers — Baseball: Matt Burnett and Chris Beck, co-advisers (split stipend), Joe Anderton and Justin Hoffman, volunteers, PVHS.

• Rescind hiring — Joelle McKeever, field hockey, junior varsity assistant, not enough student participation at JV level; and MaryEllen Perloni, paraprofessional, PVIS, rescinded her acceptance.

• Resignations — Paul Waked, full-time security officer - 10 month, effective Aug. 18.

• Retirement — Jon Pavuk, sixth-grade teacher, PVMS, effective Aug. 15.

• Supplemental contracts, non-athletic — FBLA, Catherine Britton, PVHS, $3,050; and Middle School Drama Set Design — fall, Amanda Altemose, $850.

• Supplemental contracts, athletic non-coaching — Joelle McKeever, fall, worker for varsity, junior varsity and middle school, $45, $41 and $36 per event.

• Volunteers — Shannon Mackes.
