State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 17-year-old Saylorsburg boy was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a disturbance at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 24 on Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was observed setting off fireworks in the middle of the state highway.
• Marc Saady, 48, of Stroudsburg, and Royalty Cancel, 22, of Pocono Summit, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic incident in progress at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 23 on Eagles View Court, Jackson Township.
Police said the two, who live at the residence, engaged in a physical/verbal altercation.
• A 44-year-old Effort man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 9:36 p.m. Aug. 31.
He was stopped in a 2016 Ford F-150 for traffic violations he committed on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, according to police.
• A 45-year-old Albrightsville woman was charged with assault with a weapon after police responded to an incident at 11:17 p.m. Aug. 28 on Talbot Lane, Penn Forest Township.
Police said she was involved in a verbal altercation with a 45-year-old Albrightsville man when she attempted to throw a fork at him. She then retrieved a knife and cut the man twice in the right arm before she was taken into custody, police said.
• Alexander Marsicano, 32, of East Stroudsburg, was cited for harassment after police responded to an incident of threats being made against individuals at 4:58 p.m. Aug. 19 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the victims are a 41-year-old woman from Long Pond and a 28-year-old woman from Selden, New York.
• Police are investigating a burglary that occurred between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Aug. 20 at a property on Towering Court, Chestnuthill Township.
A 39-year-old woman from Effort reported the incident, as well as the theft of a keypad lock that was on the front door of the premises.
Police said a white male wearing a baseball cap was observed in the driveway of the home and an older model gray or light blue minivan, possibly a Toyota, was in the driveway of the property.
• Ainsworth Stewart, 49, of Albrightsville, was cited for simple assault and harassment after police responded to an altercation between he and his wife, Tonia Jefferson-Stewart, 56, at 9:17 p.m. Aug. 24 on Stony Mountain Road, Penn Forest Township.
Police said they were involved in an argument that turned physical, resulting in both of them being injured. Police said it was determined the husband was the aggressor in the altercation.
• Ashley Cadotte, 22, and Jayson-Roger Cadotte, 27, of Effort, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a physical altercation at 3:11 a.m. Aug. 20 to North Shore Drive, Penn Forest Township.
• Police responded to a Protection From Abuse court order violation allegation at 10:20 a.m. Aug. 19 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.
A 43-year-old woman from Kunkletown told police that her ex-boyfriend, Shawn Fricke, contacted her place of employment and told personnel to fire her or he would have the business shut down.
After consultation with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, police said Fricke, whose age and address were not provided by police, will be charged with indirect criminal contempt of the court order.
• Stephanie Groff, 28, of Nesquehoning, was cited for simple trespass after police responded to an incident at 5:33 p.m. Aug. 18 on Strausser Lane, Jackson Township.
Police said she arrived at the property in an attempt to make contact with her ex-boyfriend, a 64-year-old Reeders man, to see her daughter, who is in his custody, because no custody agreement in place.
