The identity of a man whose body was found Wednesday in Lansford has been released.

Carbon County Chief Deputy Coroner Jason T. Smith identified the man as Joshua Barlip, 34, of Coaldale.

Smith said Barlip was pronounced dead at 3:19 p.m. Wednesday in a wooded area on private property in Lansford.

Barlip was last seen on Monday leaving his residence on his all-terrain vehicle, Smith said. That led to a two-day search for him.

The manner of death is being ruled a suicide, Smith said.
