TimeWhys delights with ’60s, ’70s classics

Be prepared to be transported back in time to an era of nostalgia and euphoria.

That’s the experience the audience can expect when TimeWhys returns for the third year and performs from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. Friday on the Main Stage at this year’s Palmerton Community Festival.

Tom Drago, lead vocals and keyboards, said the five-member band plays music from the ’60s, ’70s and beyond.

Drago said the band plans to perform hits such as “Little Willy,” “These Boots are made for Walking,” “The Mighty Quinn,” “Bee Gees Medley,” “Disco Medley,” “Venus,” “Love Her Madly,” “Love Train,” “Love Rollercoaster,” “September” and “Spirit in the Sky.”

“Performing at the Palmerton Community Festival is always a special experience for us,” he said. “The setting itself, in this beautiful mountain community, creates the perfect backdrop for music and connection. But what truly makes it unforgettable are the people — the incredible fans who come out year after year with their enthusiasm, energy and love for ’60s and ’70s live music.

“We feel so grateful to share these moments with a community that not only appreciates the music, but also embraces the spirit of coming together. Every time we play here, we’re reminded why we love doing what we do.”

According to the band’s website, what sets TimeWhys apart is not just their musical prowess, but also their versatility as multi-instrumentalists. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, they summon the sounds of a full ensemble, delivering performances that resonate with depth and richness.

In the kaleidoscope of musical history, there are echoes of eras that resonate deeply within our collective memory.
