A 50-year-old man from Huntington was sentenced to 7-14 years in a state prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to charges relating to a 2021 drug death of a 19-year-old man.
Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan said Dennis A. Yenser pleaded guilty to a felony charge of drug delivery resulting in death before Judge Robert L. Steinberg for having delivered drugs to Chase E. Frable.
Frable’s death was ruled accidental by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, who said the death was caused by methamphetamine and fentanyl toxicity.
The incident occurred at 3410 Lil Wolf Drive, North Whitehall Township, on Aug. 19, 2021, when state police were called there to investigate a death.
Police said their investigation showed Frable had earlier contacted Yenser, who sold Frable methamphetamine and two other pills in a transaction that took place in the parking lot of the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem.
Items found in Frable’s possession at the time of his death included a plastic baggie with a clear substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and both a pill and residue that tested positive for fentanyl, Holihan said.
Yenser delivered the drugs that caused Frable’s death.
Holihan said during the course of the investigation that Yenser absconded from Pennsylvania State Parole several times and was a fugitive.
On April 21, 2023, he was located in Center Valley by a member of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and taken into custody.
The case was investigated by state police Cpl. Chad Burry and prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Ramma R. Mineo and Chief Deputy District Attorney Kevin McCloskey.
