This hole at Route 145 and Main Street in Walnutport has been getting bigger over the last two years. A pipe burst, causing everything to sink. It is not known where the pipe goes or what its purpose is. Residents of Walnutport and Lehigh Township have come to meetings asking, “who is responsible to fix that hole.” The officials say the same thing: “PennDOT is aware of the problem.” PATRICIA INGLES/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
