Bill Reese performs country and oldies

They’ll belt out tunes from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s.

All number one hits, in fact, including classic country and all your favorite oldies.

Bill Reese’s Oldies and Classic Country Show will perform from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at this year’s Palmerton Community Festival.

When they do larger events that require a band like the Palmerton event, they use the name Bill Reese and the At The Hop Band, according to Bill Reese.

Reese said among the songs they’ll perform are “On The Road Again,” “Teenager in Love,” “Runaround Sue,” “Margaritaville,” “Pretty Women,” “Mountain Music,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Knock Three Times,” “Next Broken Heart,” and “Country Roads.”

He noted they last played the Palmerton Community Festival in 2021.

“There was a great crowd and they sang along and danced with all the songs,” Reese said. “It’s a lot easier to do shows when you have a great audience.”

As such, Reese said he’s “looking forward to another great experience this year.”

“Palmerton runs a fantastic festival,” he said. “I am hoping for great weather and a fun crowd again this year.”

Reese said his band has been playing for over a dozen years throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
