• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:18 p.m. Aug. 19 on Interstate 80 westbound in Hamilton Township.
Police said the crash occurred when Ismail Abdul-Ghani, 24, of Baltimore, Maryland, was driving a 2024 Dodge Ram truck that merged onto the interstate from an on-ramp and struck a 2022 Ford operated by Meghan F. Mele, 38, of Tobyhanna.
Both vehicles came to rest on the right westbound shoulder of the interstate.
Abdul-Ghanio was cited for driving without a license, police said.
• A 16-year-old boy from Stroudsburg was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:25 p.m. Aug. 22 on Brislin Road in Hamilton Township.
Police said he was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville.
They said he was driving a 2020 BMW westbound when it entered a right-hand curve, traveled off the right shoulder of the road and struck an embankment. It continued west across both lanes and off the left shoulder of the road, where it hit a utility pole.
• Jack Ferranti, 38, of Stroudsburg, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 2:29 p.m. Aug. 26 at 5083 Custard Road, Hamilton Township, police said.
He was driving a 2008 Hyundai Accent that traveled off the road and became stuck in a ditch. They said it was determined that Ferranti was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that rendered him incapable of safe driving, resulting in him being taken into custody without incident.
