A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday morning when involved in a crash in Lehighton. The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 400 block of North First Street at the entrance to the Dollar General store. It appeared a sport utility vehicle traveling south attempted to turn into the Dollar General lot and failed to see the northbound biker. The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to an area trauma center. Lehighton police are investigating the incident. Lehighton fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway.
