Tamaqua police said they charged Marissa Garcia, 32, of Tamaqua, with harassment and scattering rubbish after she repeatedly made lewd comments to a neighbor and threw what appeared to be dog food onto the neighbor’s porch.
Police were called to the 300 block of Clark Street at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 for a report of harassment and spoke to the caller, who said that Garcia had been making lewd and vulgar comments to her and into her front porch video surveillance cameras.
Police said Garcia was also recorded throwing dog food onto the woman’s porch.
The woman said the harassment began a few weeks ago after another resident reported Garcia to Schuylkill County Children and Youth. The woman said that Garcia believed she called the agency, and started harassing her.
Police told Garcia that she would be cited but she asked for lenience since she is facing financial hardships. Shortly after police left, the woman reported that Garcia began yelling into her surveillance cameras again.
On Aug. 24, police noted that the woman provided officers with more video clips of Garcia making lewd comments over more recent days.
