August 30, 1996 — Scott Vrablic scores four touchdowns to lead Lehighton to a 25-13 opening-night victory over Panther Valley. Vrablic carries 17 times for 114 yards and two scores, and also finishes with five catches for 136 and a pair of TDs. Vrablic opens the scoring in the first quarter with a 63-yard scoring toss from Norm Frey. He extends the Indian advantage with a 9-yard run to the end zone in the second period. After PV takes the lead on touchdowns by John Shemansik and Mike Davis, Vrablic’s 13-yard scoring run allows Lehighton — coached by Dave Parsons — to regain the lead. A 34-yard TD toss from Frey to Vrablic seals the win.
