Zephyr Roundup Tennis, field hockey win

The Whitehall tennis team picked up a win over East Stroudsburg South, 5-2.

Marilyn Ogunsemore was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at three single for the Zephs and Hope Warren picked up a forfeit win at one singles.

The three doubles team of Grace Ruta and Maddy Berg defeated Naomi Carcedo and Nicole Pokrwka 6-0, 6-1 while the four doubles team won of Lamitta Layous and Elina Dabboura won 6-2, 6-1 over Ariana Browne and Liyana Mahoney.

At one doubles, Trinity Goeh and Star Carey won 8-0.

In golf, Liberty defeated Whitehall 448-398.

Trent Staley shot a 69 while Cameron Rodriguez and Jack Lloyd both shot 79 for the top-three scores of the match.

The match was played at Twin Lakes par-71.

The Whitehall field hockey team won 11-0 over Pocono Mountain West.

Molly McFetridge and Kerigan Dreisbach had big days for the Zephs. McFetridge scored three of the first four goals of the game with Emmy Kern adding the second.

From there, Dreisbach scored the next three followed by McFetridge’s fourth goal of the game to make it 8-0.

Emily Kern would add a second goal and Josie Shultz the team’s 9th and 11th goals in the win.

Dreisbach assisted one of Shultz’s goals. Kendal Fedorak picked up three assists in the win and Jayleen Kassis added two helpers.
