August 27, 1946 — Lansford pushes across two runs with two outs in the ninth inning to gain a 6-6 Panther Valley League tie with Coaldale. Fignar singles with the bases loaded in the ninth to plate two runs and knot the score. Coaldale nearly wins the game in the home ninth but left fielder Daniels throws out a runner at the plate and a double play later in the frame ends the inning. Derby and Slog both collect a pair of hits for Lansford, while Ponting adds a hit and two runs. For Coaldale, Semko finishes 4-for-5 with a run scored. Sneddon chips in with two hits and two runs.
