State police arrested two men in Hanover Township for possession of numerous illegal items Aug. 20. Around 5:30 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a Nissan Sentra on Lloyd Street for an unspecified vehicle infraction. They allegedly observed criminal activity, also unspecified, and searched the vehicle. They found two firearms, bulk US currency, a large amount of suspected fentanyl and a large amount of suspected crack cocaine.

Alexis Rivera, 21, of Allentown, and Jesus Pedro, 34, were arraigned and committed to Lehigh County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
