Folks are invited to grab a seat, grab a bite and get to know the Schuylkill NAACP on Sunday in Tamaqua.
The Schuylkill NAACP’s Barbershop Series will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Upper Echelon Barbershop, 111 W. Broad St.
Quintin Rucker, chief executive officer of Upper Echelon and a master barber, will provide free haircuts. There will also be a back-to-school raffle, food and community connection.
Topics to be discussed include voter registration, housing and tenant rights, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, education resources and financial literacy.
Additional barbershop series events will be held in October and beyond.
