State police at Bethlehem
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police were called to a harassment incident at 6:27 p.m. Aug. 6 at KidsPeace, North Whitehall Township.
Police said a 22-year-old Saylorsburg woman, a staff member there, was assaulted by a client who was later taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township, for a medical and behavioral evaluation for the purpose of a mental health commitment.
• Iris Amparo, 31, of Slatington, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:11 a.m. June 14 in the 2900 block of Old Post Road, North Whitehall Township.
Police said she was driving a 2020 Lexus they stopped for multiple traffic violations. They detected an odor of alcohol coming from inside the car and took her into custody, police said.
• A 28-year-old Lancaster woman is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and equipment after police were called to Route 873 in Washington Township at 12:03 p.m. July 29.
Police said a there was a report of a woman smoking what appeared to be drugs in a light-colored van in the area of a local store. After interviewing the woman, police seized a glass smoking pipe containing black residue.
• A 78-year-old Bushkill man was charged with indecent exposure after an incident at 2:48 p.m. Aug. 8 on North Irving Street, Hanover Township.
Police said a 29-year-old from Laurys Station reported the man urinated on a building and exposed himself to her.
• A 48-year-old Slatington man reported a theft at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 7 on Franklin Street in Washington Township.
Police said he reported an unknown number of power tools and related equipment and a gray tote valued at $1,400 were stolen from his residence.
