Bubble delight

The West End Fair held a Sensory Day on Tuesday to provide a quieter atmosphere for people who get overwhelmed by the noise, crowds and flashing lights of a typical fair. A foam party at the main stage was a big hit with the children and parents alike. Here, mom Erin Hummel is surprised by a handful of bubbles from a little girl playing in the suds. Hummel was a volunteer at her church’s booth, Cornerstone Community Church of Kresgeville, and took a break to take her children around the fair. Today, Dan and Galla will perform at 2 and 3:30 p.m., followed by senior program at 5 and Cramer Brothers Band at 7 and 8 p.m. A demolition derby will take place at 7 p.m. On Thursday, Stephanie Grace will perform at 3 and 4:30 p.m., and the Don Jovi Tribute Band will perform at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Another demolition derby will start at 7 p.m. KRISTINE PORTER/TIMES NEWS
