Organizers are gearing up for the annual Weatherly Festival at Eurana Park this weekend, featuring bands, craft vendors, games, tricky trays and a variety of food and drinks.

The annual festival, which started in 2013 as a celebration of the borough’s 150th anniversary, kicks off from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday at the park located on Third Street.

The festival committee continued the tradition for the past 11 years, bringing together more than 50 vendors for the well-attended community even each year, said Lori O’Donnell, a committee member.

“This event provides an opportunity for organizations to do fundraising or just provide information for their organization,” she said.

People can enjoy bands both days with Blue Mountain Soul performing Friday starting at 6 p.m. In the Saturday lineup are Almost Infamous from 1 to 4 p.m. and North of 40 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Numerous food stands will be selling everything from Boba tea to Buffalo chicken nachos. Other food and drink favorites features will be fresh cut fries, cheesesteaks, baked goods, pizza, Italian cuisine, snow cones, warm mini doughnuts, candy, burgers, birch beer on tap, funnel cakes, pulled pork, brisket, Persian doughnuts, haluski with homemade dough, loaded mac and cheese, quesadillas, tamales, tortas, halupki casserole, pasta salad and inside the tent, beer and seltzer.

Craft vendors will be selling 3D printed items, sublimation items, tumblers, cutting boards, floral arrangements, wreaths, intarsia (wall items made of different types of wood to create a color difference), crocheted items, crocheted animals, handmade jewelry items, lighted bottles, candles, spinner fishing lures, handmade fishing lures, resin crafts, wooden outside country items, room sprays, lotions, glass art, sun catchers, novelty pens, wristlets, duck pond games, henna tattoos and many other items.

The festival committee will sell lemonade as well as holding its annual tricky tray event with a chance for a 28-inch Blackstone grill with hard and soft cover, grill conditioner and grill utensil set.

The Weatherly Museum, Mauch Chunk Trust Co., Maple Shade Meadows Senior Living, and Church of the Great Redeemer will also have informational stands.

For the first time, Lehigh Valley Health Network will be sponsoring one of the bands that will be playing at the festival.

Parking is available in the baseball field at Eurana Park or street parking is also available.
