​The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will host job fairs in Carbon and Schuylkill counties next week.

The Schuylkill job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the PennDOT Schuylkill County Office, 970 East Main St., Schuylkill Haven.

The Carbon Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the PennDOT Carbon County Office, 930 Bridge St., Lehighton.

Please note there is construction in the area. Use the Bridge Street driveway between Ninth Street and Gypsy Hill Road, near the National Guard building.

The events will include on-site interviews with job offers.

Those interested in a career with PennDOT are encouraged to attend the event to learn about the various opportunities available.

District and county employees will be on hand to answer questions regarding employment and assist attendees with the application process.

PennDOT is looking to fill a variety of positions in the county, including CDL operators, diesel and auto mechanics, and tradesman helpers.

Applicants should bring an updated copy of their resume. CDL operators also should bring their current driver’s license and medical card.
