Construction materials dumped on road in crash

State police at the Frackville barracks investigated a crash with a fully loaded construction trailer.

Police said Jose Manuel Garcia-Bueno, 50, of New York, New York, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:04 p.m. Aug. 11 on the Burma Road in Blythe Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.

They said he was driving a 2015 International Harvester too fast when he was going over a right turn while traveling southbound with a fully-loaded trailer that contained construction materials. The rig traveled into the oncoming lane before overturning and blocking both lanes of travel.

Police said Garcia-Bueno was able to be freed from the tractor by non-mechanical means.

They said a local towing service removed the rig and collected the spilled refuse from the roadway.

Police said Garcia-Bueno was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
