State police at the Pocono barracks reported three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:31 p.m. July 30 at mile marker 75.5 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Franklin Township.

Police said Dorothy L. Honour, 77, of Bethlehem, and Jah R. Guttierrez De Los Santos, 36, and a 17-year-old girl, both from Hazleton, were transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

They said the incident occurred when Honour was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado southbound and was traveling too fast and following too closely when it struck the rear of a 2021 Honda driven by Guttierrez De Los Santos.

Police said both vehicles sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.
