State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police were called to the Tamaqua community pool at Bungalow Park, Catawissa Street, Schuylkill Township, at 9:56 p.m. July 29 for a reported theft.
A 21-year-old Tamaqua woman told police that someone stole her iPhone 13 cellphone from the property.
The phone is valued at $2,000, police said.
• A 28-year-old Pottsville man was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 on Tuscarora Park Road in Rush Township.
Police said the victim was a 29-year-old woman from Pottsville. She said the man pushed her during an argument they were involved in over lighter fluid.
• A 63-year-old Nesquehoning man was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police responded to an incident at 7:10 p.m. on Aug. 5 on Blueberry Lane in Rush Township.
Police said the victim is an 86-year-old woman from Nesquehoning. She told police the man was at a residence, which he was excluded/evicted.
• Police are investigating an arson incident that happened at 1:19 a.m. on Aug. 2 on Clay Street in New Philadelphia.
The victim was a 60-year-old man from New Philadelphia.
Police said it was determined a gas can was lighted on fire on the victim’s rear porch, causing the porch to become engulfed in flames.
They said nearby surveillance shows a white man running from the backyard immediately following the ignition of the fire.
