Derrick Lane, 23, of Philadelphia, is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, state police at the Pocono barracks said.

The stop was conducted at 11:10 a.m. July 28 at mile marker 65.4 in Washington Township for a registration violation.

Police found Lane in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said. Lane was stopped while operating a 2012 Kia Optima.
