A pilgrimage of an estimated 11,000 of the motorcycle faithful showed up in downtown Lehighton for the Fourth Annual Lehighton Bike Nite program.

Sheila and Edward Finney were the event organizers. Edward said the event drew motorcyclists from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Florida and California.

Dozens of vendors sported their motorcycle-oriented wares, serving a variety of food commodities, including jambalaya and barbecued chicken, while items such as vintage posters, kerchiefs and photographs were available for sale.

Dennis Blocker of Blocker Enterprises, Parryville, a dealer in Yamaha, Harley Davidson and Buell cycles, was on hand to speak to the bikers.
