The installation of Licensed Lay Minister Kathy Long took place recently at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton. Northeast Pennsylvania Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Bishop Christopher deForest presided. A “Licensed Lay Minister” is a type of lay leader who has been formally licensed by the Bishop to perform worship leadership and ministry within a congregation.
