Mountain Road in West Penn Township was closed Wednesday morning when a large tree fell across the roadway. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. about a half mile east of Andreas Road. The West Penn fire company was dispatched to the scene. The tree appeared to have rotted at the base and did not come in contact with any utility lines. West Penn Township police are investigating the incident.
