State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 23-year-old Effort woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident reported at Parkside Avenue, Tobyhanna Township.
She reported the incident on July 24, telling police that at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 19 someone hacked into her bank mobile account and removed a student refund check in the amount of $3,428.
• Police cited Nicholas Stephano, 39, of Sciota, for a Dog Law violation after an incident at 8:24 p.m. July 25 on Glen Lane West, Chestnuthill Township.
A 38-year-old man from Bethlehem reported Stephano’s dog was running loose.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 1:06 p.m. July 20 on Chipperfield Drive, Chestnuthill Township.
They did not provide the details of the incident except to say the victim is a 40-year-old woman from Effort.
• Police are investigating a theft by deception incident reported at 9:09 p.m. July 17 on Sassafras Way, Jackson Township.
The victim is a 37-year-old man from Stroudsburg.
