State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a theft incident at 1:50 p.m. July 25 on Phillips Road, Heidelberg Township.

A 45-year-old Germansville woman reported a birthday card containing $25 and $150 in $50 bills were stolen from her and that a 2005 Chevrolet Astro van was damaged in the incident.

• John Yankauskas, 32, of Walnutport, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 9:53 p.m. July 20.

Police said he was stopped in a 2001 GMC Sierra for several traffic violations, after which they determined he was operating the vehicle while being under the influence.

• Police were summoned to a harassment by physical contact incident involving a 3-year-old girl from Slatington.

It was reported to have occurred at 1:30 p.m. June 11 on Park Avenue in North Whitehall Township.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
