Dylan Dailey, a 2019 Jim Thorpe graduate, was one of the best defensive linemen in school history.

Dailey was a two-time all-state selection for the Olympians at defensive end.

In his junior season, he collected 56 total tackles — 22 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. In his senior campaign, Dailey tallied 63 total tackles — 25 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.

Tragically, Dailey passed away earlier this year. His legacy, however, lives on in the memories of his teammates, coaches and the community.

Dailey gave his all every time he wore the red, white and blue.

The Jim Thorpe Area Sports Hall of Fame recently announced its Class of 2025.

The 33rd class of inductees include Dailey, Samuel Hydro, Ethan Mordaunt, Jarrin Geisinger, Jonathan Lilly and the 1983 Jim Thorpe Area High School Tri-Championship Schuylkill League baseball team.

The Jim Thorpe Area Sports Hall of Fame banquet will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 in the commons section of the Jim Thorpe High School starting at 1 p.m.
