Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Deb Rogers will direct the 11 a.m. Sunday service for Calvary Evangelical Church at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle with the message of, “What is the Lord’s Supper?” Scriptures will be from the Old and New Testaments and Holy Communion will be served. Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

The annual Sunday school picnic will follow the morning service in the pavilion. Attendees are asked to bring a dish of food to share. Those who need more information should call Sue at 570-668-3359.

The day will be filled with food, fun, fellowship games and a vesper service starting at 5:30 p.m.

At the 11 a.m. Aug. 10 service, the guest speaker will be Keith Seigfried of the Mended Heart gospel group. He will share song and word.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Communion will be included during the service. Adult Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

St. Peter’s West Penn

The 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will have the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m.

The 9 a.m. Aug. 10 worship service will have a Joyous Noise offering.

Fun in the Sun

A Fun in the Sun luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 19 at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 10 Hollenbush Lane, Orwigsburg. The event is sponsored by the Schuylkill Women’s Connection.

Speaker will be Rhonda Weaver of Old Hickory, Tennessee, who will present, “A Jewish Lawyer’s Search for Truth.” TJ Adams of Schuylkill Haven will provide piano music. The special feature will be a beach/summer fashion show.
