Senior Citizen’s Day will be on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Carbon County Fair. Performances include the Patsy Cline tribute band Heather Olson & The Silver Eagle Band at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. In the arena, a Junk Car Race will be at 7 p.m.

At 7:45 p.m., there is a free drawing for gift certificates to Bowmanstown Diner and a small gift for everyone.

Throughout the evening visitors will have their pick of fair food and vendors for shopping.

Last year, a weeklong rainfall led to a lack of fair visitors and disappointment from attendees. This year, Malinda Fox is trying to avoid harsh weather and bring back high-energy fair fun.

“We just really like for everyone to be excited for that day,” Fox said. “This year, we’re hoping for nice weather that people can go out and enjoy the day in.”
