The day’s music kicks off at 11 a.m. with a musical performance by Josh and Dave. The band also performs at 2 p.m.
The Joe Cirotti Trio performs at noon and 3 p.m.; Wood Flower takes the stage at 1 and 4 p.m.; Serene Green performs at 5 p.m. and Free Range Folk performs at 7 p.m.
Bring a folding chair or blanket. Dogs must be leashed and alcohol is not permitted.
More information on the festival will be released closer to the event.
The annual Heritage Festival was started as part of the late Frederick “Ricky” Johnson’s love for music.
Johnson, who passed away in 2012, worked as the park’s site manager and came up with the idea for a bluegrass and folk music festival with Pat McGeehan in 2007.
For more information about the park including camping and upcoming events, visit carboncountypa.gov or the Mauch Chunk Lake Park Facebook page.
In addition to the festival, the park continues its Movie Night Under the Stars On The Beach on Saturday.
The movie is “The Mitchells Vs. The Machines” and starts at 8:45 p.m.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets for this free event.
