MONROE COUNTY CRASHES

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Police said a tire failure on a 2010 Honda CRV caused a crash at 6:46 a.m. July 13 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Henssy M. Tolentino, 21, of Bound Brook, New Jersey, was driving the vehicle northbound when the incident occurred, police said. They said after swerving in both directions the vehicle struck a guide rail before spinning and striking the railing a second time.

Police said it is unknown whether or not Tolentino was hurt.

He was cited after the crash, according to police.

• No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 12:01 a.m. July 12 on Miller Road in Jackson Township.

Police said it involved a U.S. Army vehicle and a 2017 Dodge Journey operated by Brian C. Farrell, 41, of Effort.

Police did not provide any other details of the crash.

• Kevin W. Murawski, 67, of Kunkletown, was injured after a two-vehicle crash at 10:26 a.m. July 9 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus.

They said the crash occurred when he was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic that was westbound and failed to stop for slowing traffic. They said the car hit the back of a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by John J. Baranowski III, 53, of Hellertown.

Both vehicles had minor damage, police said.

Murawski was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Police were summoned to a two-vehicle crash at 2:15 p.m. July 8 at the intersection of Route 115 and Cherry Valley Road in Hamilton Township.

They said a Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on Route 115 attempted to drive around a 2011 International, an oversize load operated by Corey J. Wingate, 24, of Curwensville, and drove onto property at 727 Route 115, sideswiping the oversize load.

Police said as the vehicles accelerated the Silverado struck the International a second time before the driver fled the scene.

Police said the International was able to be driven from the scene.

Wingate was cited after the crash, according to police.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:59 p.m. June 30 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Donna L. Jennings, 64, of Long Pond, was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue southbound and began to change lanes without having proper clearance. They said the Rogue struck a 2005 Peterbilt driven by David Montgomery, 70, of Homerville, Georgia.

Jennings was cited after the crash, according to police.

The Rogue was towed from the scene, while the Peterbilt had cosmetic damage, police said.

• Stephen C. Parvin, 55, and Elizabeth A. Parvin, 60, both of Bethlehem, had suspected minor injuries after a motorcycle crash at 3:36 p.m. June 20 on Route 115 in Hamilton Township.

Police said they were treated by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS unit.

They said Stephen Parvin was operating a 2014 Harley-Davidson northbound when he quickly slowed and then began accelerating, resulting in an abrupt motion that caused passenger Elizabeth Parvin to fall backward off the motorcycle.

• Anthony S. Diliberti, 29, of Wind Gap, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 1:56 p.m. June 13 on Route 115 in Hamilton Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Chevrolet southbound and attempted to make a left turn in the roadway, at which time he lost control of the vehicle and it hit a mailbox. Police said the vehicle continued forward and struck a boulder and barn/shed before coming to a halt.

The vehicle was heavily damaged and disabled, police said.
