Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

Upcoming outdoor services: Aug. 10 and Sept. 14. Worship is held at the church pavilion.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: “The Blessing Room” in the chapel room is now open. For those in need of food or clothing. Take what is needed without judgment, but please clean up after to keep the room neat. Adult Sunday school classes: A new series is held in Leah’s Room and led by Lilly McFarland. Dates are July 27, Aug. 3, Aug. 17 and Aug. 24. There is no class on Aug. 10.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), will host a community picnic on Aug. 2. The rain date is Aug. 3.

The event begins at noon. There will be lunch, a cakewalk, raffles, kids activities, cornhole tournament, live music and more.

Bring your lawn chair. The picnic is held in the picnic grove off Route 209 behind the fire company.

Save the date: JUCC Apple Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 4. Crafters and vendors are needed. Space will be available in the grove and inside the church.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, has announced the following upcoming events:

Community picnic: The annual community picnic at the church grove will take place from noon-9 p.m. on Aug. 9. There is a service at 2 p.m. Free hot dog for kids up to age 12 from 2-4 p.m.; free face painting will be held 2-6 p.m. There will also be a Kiddie Cake Walk and Fish Pond, evening cake walk for all ages, and raffle drawing. Live music “Waitin’ on Sundown” from 4-9 p.m. Food for purchase all day. Rain date is Aug 10.

Persian donuts: The church is holding a Persian donut sale. To order call 610-681-5200, 610-577-6332 or 610-681-5020. Deadline to order is Sept. 7. Pickup is 9 a.m. on Sept 18. at the church.
