The Rev. Edwin L. Druckenmiller, pastor of the Weissport Lutheran Parish for the last 5-1/2 years, announced his resignation yesterday.

He will begin his new duties on Aug. 1 as a member of the staff at the Germantown Lutheran Home, Philadelphia.

Rev. Druckenmiller announced his pending departure during a special meeting of the council of St. Paul’s and the Lutheran Parish yesterday morning.

During his pastorate in Weissport, he led the congregation of St. Matthew’s in construction of a new $91,000 building to replace the old church that was destroyed by fire on May 12, 1962.
