Jim Thorpe Borough Council discussed or acted on the following items last week.

• Council is looking for people to serve on the Shade Tree Committee, the International Property Maintenance Board, and an alternate seat on the Zoning Hearing Board. To apply, visit JTBorough.org or call 570-325-3025.

• The Asa Packer Mansion will host a Paint and Sip from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday (rain date Sunday) to benefit the mansion porch project. Registration is required. Visit https://canvasandcabernet1.wixsite.com/party to register.

• The borough will be hosting GoJoe28 at Memorial Park from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on July 24 on Tenth Street. There will be food trucks and games for the kids. All money raised will go to the St. Joseph Center in Scranton.

• Approved raising the ACH limit for Utility Billing to $125,000.

• Authorized the borough solicitor James Nanovic to draft vehicle and traffic ordinance amendments to mark three streets as one-way: South Avenue from Pine Avenue to Spruce Avenue, and Race Street. These are already one-way, the motion is to put the amendments on the books. A third one-way would be for Trap Alley.

• Approved payments for the Center Avenue water main project: $4,281.25 to Entech, and $7,500 to Nanovic Law.
