Fueled by a perfect day at the plate from Alex Eckert, Jim Thorpe stayed unbeaten in the Panther Valley 9-10 All-Star Tournament with a win over Franklin Township.

Jim Thorpe scored in every inning and used an eight-run second to pull out a 15-11 win over Franklin Township in Panther Valley 9-10-year-old All-Star Tournament action.

Trailing 14-3, Franklin Township didn’t go down without a fight, putting together an eight-run fifth inning to close the gap.

Alex Eckert went 4-for-4 for Jim Thorpe, finishing with three singles, a triple, two runs scored and three RBIs from the leadoff spot.

Liam Thompson (two singles, two runs, one RBI) and Owen Hosier (two singles, one run, one RBI) also had multiple hits in the win.

Camden Moyer led Franklin Township with three singles, a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs.
