Tamaqua remained undefeated in the Panther Valley 11-12 Little League tournament with a win over Towamensing on Tuesday.

Tamaqua remained a perfect 3-0 in Panther Valley 11-12 year-old tournament play, as it posted a key 7-3 win over Towamensing.

Evan Shannon had the big bat for Tamaqua, as the cleanup hitter collected two singles, a run scored and three RBIs.

Aiden Barrett chipped in with two singles and two runs scored, while Jackson Faust added a hit, two runs and an RBI. Barrett also pitched five innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out nine.

For Towamensing, Bryce Baumgardt finished with three singles, a run and an RBI. Bentley Stevens added two hits and an RBI.

Jim Thorpe 11s-Anthracite

Once Anthracite got started, Jim Thorpe couldn’t slow them down, as the hosts ran away for a 16-6 victory in Panther Valley 11-12 year-old All-Star Tournament action.

Anthracite’s Damian Boretski had three singles, three runs and two RBIs, while Connor Jones reached base four times, as he recorded two singles, two walks, scored four times and knocked in one.

For Jim Thorpe, Wyatt Morris collected two singles and a run scored.

Jim Thorpe only needed four innings to score a 13-3 win over Towamensing in the Panther Valley 9-10 year-old All-Star tournament.

Alex Eckert and Owen Hosier combined for half of the Olympians’ hits, as both finished 3-for-3 at the plate. Hosier had two singles, a double, three runs scored and two RBIs, while Eckert ended with two singles, a double and three runs.

Julius Calcano chipped in with two singles, two runs and an RBI.

For Towamensing, Ethan Lengel recorded a double, a walk, a run scored and two RBIs.
