Blue Mountain Community Church

Blue Mountain Community Church will hold its annual giant yard sale July 18 and 19 at 25 Oak St., Palmerton.

The rain or shine event is open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday. It includes antiques, collectibles, tools, clothing, furniture, toys, books and more.

A food court will also be available.

All proceeds from the sale benefit the Benevolence Ministry.

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

Upcoming outdoor services: Aug. 10 and Sept. 14. Worship is held at the church pavilion.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: Coming soon, “The Blessing Room” in the chapel room. For those in need of food or clothing. Take what is needed without judgment, but please clean up after to keep the room neat. Adult Sunday School: Classes begin on July 20 and are led by Lilly McFarland in Leah’s Room through Aug. 24. There is no class on Aug. 10.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), will host a community picnic on Aug. 2. The rain date is Aug. 3.

The event begins at noon. There will be lunch, a cakewalk, raffles, kids activities, cornhole tournament, live music and more.

Bring your lawn chair. The picnic is held in the picnic grove off Route 209 behind the fire company.

Save the date: JUCC Apple Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 4. Crafters and vendors are needed. Space will be available in the grove and inside the church.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, has announced the following upcoming events:

Annual fall basket social: The church holds its annual fall basket social from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 11. There are theme baskets, raffles, a bake sale, door prizes and more. Food is also available for purchase.
