Joseph Modrick, Carbon County prothonotary, was installed as commander of the Lansford AMVETS Post.

Other officers seated are James Rockford, first vice commander; Chester Trojan, second vice commander; Charles Horowski, adjutant; Stanley Lewis, provost marshal; Sen. William Z. Scott, judge advocate; John Stanko, John Rybnikar and Al Sverchek, auditors; and Richard Giantesano, state executive committeeman.

Among the guests attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Porter, past state commander from St. Clair; and present State Commander and Mrs. Joseph Drozal of Shenandoah.

Horowski, as outgoing commander, received a past commander’s pin and gift from the new commander.
